Empowerment Day Rally In Honor Of Sexual Assault Awareness Month

LANSING - April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and in honor, a Survivor and Ally Empowerment Day Rally was April 26th at the Michigan State Capitol.

The event was hosted by Senator Curtis Hertel Jr. and Senator Tony Schuitmaker.

The event was to recognize the Sister Survivors and present a resolution to declare April 26th as, Survivor Empowerment Day honoring all survivors of sexual assault.

Survivors and advocates were also able to share their stories with a panel of legislators.
