JCI Lansing's First Annual Row-A-Thon To Benefit Love For Lily This Week

HOLT - JCI Lansing is hosting their first ever Row-A-Thon this year at Redemption Fitness located in Holt.

The funds raised from the event this year will go to Love for Lily to help support the Bowen family. Lily Bowen is a 8-year-old girl from Dewitt that has been fighting neuroblastoma.

“I’ve always wanted to help this family out,” said JCI Vice President, Kristin Rhine. “Lily doesn’t deserve to have to go through all this, so we just want to show her that the community, the Greater Lansing community cares, the gym cares and we want to give back to her.”

Participants will purchase a pledge pass and the money they raise will determine how much they row on the rowing machines at the event.

“Basically every $10 is 100 meters,” said Rhine. “We should have about 8 to 10 rowers available for people to get on and off throughout the day.”

The event will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday July 31. Anyone who wants to participate or donate to the event can visit JCILansing.org.
