Harris Nature Center Continues Chipmunk Story Time For Kids Virtually

HARRIS NATURE CENTER - This month the Harris Nature Center is encouraging families to get creative and active during their virtual chipmunk story time.

The featured story Chicory Chipmunk will be reading this month is titled, "Goodbye Autumn, Hello Winter."

“Children love Chipmunk Story Time and we want to ensure that we can continue to offer it in a safe manner,” said Senior Park Naturalist, Kati Adams.

Registration will cost $5 per child and includes a craft kit that participants can pick up prior to the event. Those who register will receive a link featuring the naturalist reading the story.

“To get the full experience of story time, children will enjoy the story online, make a craft and we hope that families will enjoy a walk in nature as well,” said Adams.

The nature center encourages participants to take walks along the nature trails when they arrive to pick up their craft kit to go along with story time.
