LIVE Call-In 2018 General Election Candidate Debates on HOMTV

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Watch LIVE call-in debates with candidates vying for your vote in the November General Election. Ask candidates questions about issues that matter most to you.

2018 General Election Contested Races Debate Schedule:

-69th District State Representative: Thursday, October 4th 7:00 - 8:00 pm with George Nastas (R) and Julie Brixie (D).

-23rd District State Senator: Monday, October 15th 7:00 - 8:00 pm with Curtis Hertel Jr. (D) Incumbent. The challenger in this race did not respond to the invitation to participate.

-Governor: Thursday, October 18th 7:00 - 8:00 pm with Todd Schleiger (TX), Jennifer V. Kurland (GR) and Keith Butkovich (NL). The other three candidates in this race declined participation.

-State Proposal 1 - Legalization of Recreational Marijuana: Tuesday, October 23rd 7:00 - 8:00 pm with Jeffrey Hank Chair of the Board of Directors and Executive Director of MILegalize and Scott Greenlee President of Healthy and Productive Michigan.

-State Board of Education: Friday, October 26th 7:00 - 8:00 pm with Scotty Boman (LB) and Sherry A. Wells (GR). The other nine candidates in this race have either not responded to the invitation to participate or could not commit to the debate date.

-United States Senator: Monday, October 28th 7:00 - 8:00 pm with Marcia Squier (GR). The other four candidates in this race did not respond to the invitation to participate.

Comcast Cable subscribers in Haslett, Okemos and East Lansing can view the programs by turning to Channel 21 and Channel 30. Viewers will have the opportunity to ask questions during the live debates by calling 517.349.1232. Questions can also be asked on Twitter and Facebook using the @HOMTV handle and #BallotMeridian hashtag.

Non-cable subscribers or those who live outside the viewing area will have the opportunity to take part in the debates through a live video stream on HOMTV’s website and on HOMTV's Facebook page.
