MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - HOMTV will be launching a new Friday segment titled, 'Catching Up with Kenize,' hosted by Mackenize Dekker. This show will aim to highlight the various events and activities Meridian Township has to offer. Filming is underway, with a plan of airing in early December.

"In my opinion, there's no one better to show off our prime community," said Communications Manager Samantha Diehl. "Mackenize has a passion for connecting with others while also growing her on-air presence. Meridian has a lot of really great opportunities, both for residents and those who don't live here, so I hope this show is able to encourage people to come out and visit."

Reporting intern, Mackenize Dekker, is a current Michigan State University student majoring in Journalism, and her dream is to become a news anchor. HOMTV is providing her with this opportunity to begin this experience.

"Beginning my internship in the fall, I could have never imagined having my own segment, " said Mackenize. "The opportunity to showcase the Township and immerse myself into the community is an honor. I look forward to all that is to come throughout this experience."
