Police Department Holds Training for New Officers Across the State

LANSING, MI - On June 5th, the Michigan State Police Training Division and the Michigan State University School of Criminal Justice hosted their annual homicide scene preservation and investigation training for law enforcement officers from across the state.

The training provided officers with the opportunity to experience hands on situations that are likely to occur in real life. The officers also got the chance to participate in mock press conferences.

The scenarios were acted out by law enforcement officers as well as some of Michigan State University's Criminal Justice students.

Although the scenarios were held on June 5th, the entire training lasted a couple of days and provided officers with a lot of essential information needed to be a good cop.
