Meridian Township Welcomes New Firefighter

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Donald Carr was sworn in to the Meridian Township Fire Department on Wednesday, May 29th.

The firefighter and paramedic brings with him a long history of experience.

Carr started at Groveland Fire Department twenty years ago and has served in many places including the Village of Holly Fire Department, North Oakland Fire Authority, several part-time departments and has been serving with Livingston County EMS for the last 15 years.

His swearing-in was attended by many including Meridian Township Police Chief Ken Plaga and Township Treasurer Phil Deschaine, as well as Carr's wife Linda, who pinned his brand new badge on for him.

Firefighter Carr will be bringing all of the skills that he has learned to Meridian Township and is hoping to serve the community well.
