Subject of Child Sexual Abuse Incident in Meridian Township is in Custody

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - 39-year-old Thomas Allen Thrush was charged of two crimes - one count of Child Sexual Abusive Activity and one count of Resisting and Obstructing. Those charges were related to a Child Sexual Abuse incident which was reported to Meridian Township Police on April 9 where three minor females were approached by an unknown male in the 4800 block of Marsh Road in Okemos. According to the press release, the man - who later was identified as Thursh - asked them if they wanted to film an adult movie in his van. The females ran away and contacted police.

On May 5, Meridian Township Police were dispatched to the 4800 block of Marsh Road in Okemos after an officer recognized Thrush from the April 9 incident. He was running after a female to catch up to her. During the investigation, Thrush ran from officers as they began to question him. Officers apprehended him after a short foot chase.
