LANSING - As Women's History Month comes to a close, Michigan Women Forward #HerStory, formerly known as the Michigan Women's Hall of Fame celebrated Michigan women with an open house and reception Thursday, March 28.
The celebration featured food, discounts on women's history-related products and guest speaker Valerie R. Marvin, Historian and Curator for the Michigan State Capitol, who presented research on the historic lives of Capitol City women.
Guests could also read about Women's History and influential Michigan women throughout the room.
The reception and open house was also held to showcase the new location of Michigan Women Forward #HerStory, which is located at 105 West Allegan Street in Lansing.
