OKEMOS - The Meridian Township Police Department is investigating an armed robbery in Okemos.

The robbery took place at the Fifth Third Bank located on the corner of Okemos Road and Grand River Avenue. Police say that the only people present at the time were the employees of the bank. No injuries have been reported.

"At about 12 o'clock noon, the Fifth Third, bank was robbed. It was a single person that went into the bank. He displayed a hand gun and then fled on foot from the bank," said Andrew McCready, the Sergeant assigned to the investigation.

Police are looking for a white male, approximately 5'8", with no facial hair. He was last seen wearing a dark hoodie and jeans.
