MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Meridian Township will soon be welcoming a new pub to the area.

Pub Meridian is expected to open in just a couple of weeks.

It will be located on Marsh Road in the Meridian Towne Center next to the Asian Buffet. Henry Kwok, general manager of Asian Buffet will be the owner of the new pub.

"You see Lansing and East Lansing to start popping up these type of businesses. So i think Okemos needs something like that now and I think it will be good for the area," said Kwok.

Kwok has been a long time resident of Okemos and has seen many changes throughout the years.

He believes that with the craft beer and cocktail industry booming, this will be a great business to bring to Okemos.

Kwok is hoping that the pub will appeal to graduate students and young professionals.
