MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Okemos lacrosse, the girls finished last season in the state semis, while the boys finished state runners-up. Haslett faced the terrible task of facing Okemos Tuesday night but showed major grit and resiliency in response; nevertheless, the Chiefs came away with the boys/girls sweep.

While the Lady Vikings could never take the lead, they stayed pesky, keeping it close all evening, until Okemos killed the clock with a, 10-7, slow-burn victory.

The Okemos boys were much quicker to the punch, taking a, 7-1, into halftime. From there, the Vikings were able to play toe-to-toe with their rival foes, still falling in a, 12-7, defeat.
