Paige Duren Beat Cancer And Continues To

OKEMOS - After a bad fall skiing, Paige Duren went to get an MRI, although there was no problems from the fall, the MRI showed a cyst in part of Paige's brain. She was diagnosed with brain cancer in April of 2011.

She battled hard and with many treatments she was cancer free in July 2012. She believes her trust in God helped her along the way and the support from the community, even the Michigan State football team played a big role.

"I love that they give back as well as play their sport," said Paige, "It's nice knowing I have them all here to support me."

Paige is now a sophomore at Okemos High and excelling at all she does. She received a varsity letter for girl's golf and starts soccer in the spring. Paige knows the ins and outs with every sport, and being a healthy athlete again couldn't be better for her.
