Okemos Girl's Golf Strive For a Spot At
State

OKEMOS - Okemos girl's golf played in a conference jamboree this past Tuesday. A jamboree is when every team in the league bring their best line-up of girl's to compete in an end of the year conference show down.

Over on College Fields down Hagadorn Rd, you'll find the Okemos girl's golf team practicing and competing the warmer fall days away. Six teams in the CAAC conference played 9 holes rotating in groups of 3 each. Okemos girl's golf is one of the best in the league, they've won three invitationals and the last four league events. This team has shot some of the lowest scores in school history and Dan Stolz, Okemos Golf head coach, said working with these girl's has been a great experience.

" We've got a real veteran group, we've got 4 seniors in our top 5 and they've all really contributed a great deal, and our sophomore Lauren Kim is a terrific player and she played in the state tournament last year and she got a lot of experience so this is really an experienced group, they know how to keep grinding and not make excuses and they're just a fun group," said Stolz.
