Sons of Ransom: Loud, Loyal, Lansing
United's Best

LANSING - We take you inside what might be the smallest, most dedicated pocket of soccer fandom in Michigan: Lansing United's Sons of Ransom.

Created in 2013 with help from owner Jeremy Sampson, Eric Walcott and other United fans banded together to make a promise.

"We've seen other MLS and European fans yell and sing and chant all day long," said Walcott. "We're much smaller, but it's a start."

Two seasons later, the Sons remain small but fiercely loyal. Starting with a walk from the parking lot to their vacant bleachers, the fans sing their renditions of "Hey Jude," and other popular songs set to the lyrics of players or opponents. Including their very own Lansing United rally cry.

Take a listen to the Sons and their loud, proud way of cheering for their hometown heroes.
