Lansing United Ranked First in the
League

LANSING - On the first day of summer Lansing United soccer took on Minnesota United at home with a packed crowd sunny skies. By half time, Lansing United was up 3 to 0 and only a minute into half time, captain Matt Brown of Dordon, England scored their 4th and final goal of the day.

Lansing United is now ranked number 1 in the NPSL Midwest Region Standings and they face Detroit City, ranked second in the league, net week. This game will be very tough for them because they are neck and neck with Detroit City but Sunday's win over Minnesota United shot Lansing United to first place.

Head Coach Eric Rudland says that the strong competition they faced all week helped them with the strong 4-0 win over Minnesota. Winning games on the road transfers over to winning games at home. He is looking forward to facing Detroit City away next week and he believes if the Lansing United players continue to communicate on the field and work as a team, that they can come out with a win over number 2 team Detroit City.
