HASLETT - Haslett Water Polo began just two years ago, but it already has talented students waiting in the wings. We take a rare moment to showcase what the younglings are up to in a Junior Varsity matchup with crosstown rival Okemos.

Haslett scored goal after goal, while its goalie could not help but watch and enjoy.

Okemos turnovers turned this one ugly as Haslett focused on the fundamentals and let its blooming talent take care of the rest.

"Our big game plan today was to really work on defense," Haslett JV head coach said.

"Trying to keep the score low to give them a chance offensively where maybe they normally wouldn't have that chance because they aren't necessarily the great players that some of these other guys playing since middle school or four years in high school [are]."

Haslett wins by a splash, 11-9, in vengeful fashion after its varsity dropped hard, 17-3, to Okemos.
