The Bridge Project At Legg Park Is
Complete

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Eagle Scout Thomas Laub stepped up to the podium and presented the final results for the bridge project at Legg Park at the July 8th Park Commission meeting.

During the meeting, Laub brought to attention the dangers the previous bridge and the potential injury it could have caused.

"Every year the bridge gets moved by the flooding because the bridge was actually a previous Eagle Scouts project and they didn't support it, nor did they anchor it properly," Laub said.

The structure of the bridge includes:
- Three U-Channels seven feet in the ground
- Two U-Channels five feet in the ground
- Eight inch galvanized lag bolt in every U-Channel

The finished construction on the bridge includes a sturdy foundation and is supported with concrete.
