Meridian Township Welcomes New 
Police Officers

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - David Gubry and Taylor Comiskey were sworn in to the police force on Monday, June 16.

Both of the young officers recently graduated from The Police Academy and said they are excited to start their careers in Meridian Township.

"It feels like a great honor," Gubry said. "I got out of the academy last December so its finally feeling real."

Gubry said he is excited to work in Meridian Township because he is familiar with the area.

Comiskey has similar feelings.

"Its a pretty great feeling," Comiskey said. "It really finally felt real yesterday having gone through the ceremony."

Comiskey who is also fresh out of the Police Academy said she is grateful to have found a job in a community like this so quickly.

Both Gubry and Comiskey graduated from Michigan State.

Gubry Recieved a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice and Comiskey earned her Bachelor's Degree in Inner Disciplinary Studies, Social Work and Psychology.
