Communications Department Shows Support For Local Charities
MERIDAN TOWNSHIP - Local Media Lend Helping Hand to Non-Profit Organizations
HOMTV and CAMTV of Meridian Charter Township are participating in several charity events as media sponsors. The next event is the Alzheimers Association - Michigan Great Lakes Chapters annual Walk to
End Alzheimers walk-a-thon on Sunday, September 18th at Michigan State University.
For the second year in a row, HOMTV and CAMTV is serving as a media sponsor for local, non-profit organizations
such as the Alzheimers Association, MSU Safe Place, Michigan Parkinson Foundation and the American Cancer Society. The channels provide a number of programming opportunities leading up to and at the fundraising events including interview programs, feature stories, event coverage and social media services. In addition, HOMTV and
CAMTV staff and interns will be present at events, offering contests, prizes and interacting with community members.
Another scheduled media sponsored event is the Michigan Parkinson Foundation I Gave My Sole for Parkinsons Walk-A-Thon/5K at Okemos High School on October 1st. HOMTVs Communications Specialist Brandie Hansen
will serve as Mistress of Ceremonies for that event.
The response from the non-profit organizations and residents has been incredible. I feel we are doing our part to make a difference in the community, said Hansen.
Non-profit organizations can contact Hansen for more information on media sponsorship opportunities at firstname.lastname@example.org.
