MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The Tri-County Regional Planning Commission invites the community to participate in a series of workshops called a “Charrette” on October 22nd through October 30th. The Opening Design Session and Open House are being held in Meridian Township.
Community Design experts from the National Charrette Institute will lead sessions with the public to design three sub-areas along the Michigan/Grand River Avenue corridor from Lansing to Webberville. Detailed studies will be merged with the community’s input for the Sparrow area, Frandor area and Meridian Center. The goal is to create a sustainable plan for the corridor that includes economic and workforce development, housing, land use, transportation, environmental and infrastructure investments. All area residents and visitors are encouraged to participate in this fun and interesting initiative!
