MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Residents trying to enter the Meridian Crossing shopping plaza will soon see two new entrances. Construction is underway on entrances on both Okemos and Jolly Roads. These entrances are being created because of tenant requests to the owner of the shopping plaza. The tenants received complaints that customers were having a hard time getting into the shopping plaza.


"So there is a lot of designations inside there. So I think that's part of it, to make it as easy as possible for people to know where those places are and how to get to them," said Peter Menser, Meridian Township Associate Planner.

The new entrances will restrict left hand lanes out of the complex and should not impact traffic on either side. The construction is said to be complete by the fall.
