UPDATE: OKEMOS - Imagine a world where you can order traditional Chinese carry-out and specialty ice cream in the same venue. Well pretty soon residents will be able to do just that.

The locally owned Okemos Dairy store near the corner of Jolly and Okemos Roads is undergoing some changes. The restaurant has a new business arrangement with the owners of Asian Express and will be sharing the space.

"They serve primarily during the lunch hour and the dinner hour and we would primarily serve ice cream after the lunch hour, after school, and after the dinner hour,” says Roger Cook, the owner of Okemos Dairy Store, “so the foot traffic balance is what's really nice about the arrangement."

Asian Express began serving fresh traditional Chinese food the first week in March and Okemos Dairy ice cream will be available in April.
