Capitol National Bank Robbery

UPDATE: MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Meridian Township Police are looking for the suspect involved in robbing the Capitol National Bank in Okemos on January 14.

They have released a picture taken by a surveillance camera.

Police responded to calls around 12:30 p.m. Upon arrival, it was decided that there were no customers in the bank at the time of the robbery and nobody was injured during the crime.

Employees say the suspect entered the bank, claimed to have a gun, and took a known quantity of money. The suspect then left the bank and fled on foot southeast.

Police are describing the suspect as a white male, approximately five feet and seven inches tall, thin build, and last seen wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt with a Michigan State University logo, light-colored jeans, and sunglasses.
