UPDATE: MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Lights, camera, action! Almost. Studio C! in Okemos is finishing up the last minute details for their grand opening on December 10th.

The staff has been prepping for the day the doors open by experiencing the first class treatment themselves. Trays of food from Oscar's Bistro were delivered by the wait staff to the employees who had to learn to eat in the dark. The menu was cleverly named after Hollywood favorites with dishes like "Bye Bye Birdie BBQ" and "The Curd Cage".

The house seats are cushy, wide seats without tables while the premiere seats include a table, free popcorn and wait service. Studio C! has a liquor license so you can sip a Tequila Mockingbird while enjoying the movie.

The first big movie premiere will be The Hobbit on December 14th. Tickets and gift cards are available ahead of time online at celebrationcinema,com.
