Legg Park Footbridge

Legg Park Footbridge

UPDATE: MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - As part of an Eagle Scout project for Parker Owen, a new footbridge was installed for part of Legg Park's hiking trail. The project included building the wooden footbridge and creating a gravel pathway on either end. This area of the trail was in need of a new footbridge as it often floods becomes unwalkable.

Under Parker's direction, the project started Thursday morning with a lot of digging to clear stumps from the path and create holes for the bridge's structural posts. On Saturday morning, volunteers continued to clear the area of stumps, lay down gravel, cut planks, and construct the bridge itself.

Legg Park's new wooden footbridge is already completed and ready for use ahead of schedule.
