The cause is something personal, Sherrie herself has epilepsy, but it doesn't define her. She's a rollerblading, music loving grandma who runs her own business and has a garden. Her fiery passion is educating others. She is ready to debunk epilepsy myths and help others live in a safe environment.

Epilepsy is a brain disorder in which a person has repeated seizures over time. Sherrie was diagnosed with epilepsy when she was 25 years old. Her seizures are commonly the focal seizures where she stares off into space and smacks her lips. She has also experienced six grand mal seizures, the full body shaking kind.

With the support of her friends and family, Sherrie is ready to see a change in the public's perspective of the disease that she simply calls, "an imperfection."
