Cannonball Pool Celebrates Grand Opening

OKEMOS, MI - A new business was officially welcomed to Meridian Township on Thursday, August 20th.

Cannonball Pools was able to celebrate their grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony in Okemos. Cannonball Pools is a retail business that supplies homeowners and commercial properties with pool and spa supplies, above ground pools and hot tubs, and they also provide services to anyone who needs it.

The store is owned by Casey and TJ Bahle, two people with a lot of experience in the pool business.

“I started in this business in the summer of ‘92 as a summer job when I came home from college,” said TJ Bahle. “Then I was hired on full time in about ‘96. Through time, the places I worked closed, and it gave us an opportunity to open our own location that we had been always wanting to do, but it just didn’t fit our schedule. Now it did this year, even with the pandemic, and things have worked out well.”

The COVID-19 pandemic has been a difficult time for many businesses, but luckily, the Bahle’s have had a good support system from the community.

“There was a lot of uncertainty, I feel, as far as would we have enough business to be sustainable and stay here after this year,” Casey Bahle said. “But thankfully, we’ve had a big client base that knows TJ through his past years of working in the business, and of course the availability here in Meridian Township has been amazing. So, we’ve done well for our first year and hope to have many, many more.”

Cannonball Pools is located at 1739 W Grand River Avenue. More information can be found on their Facebook page and website listed below.
