HASLETT - In Haslett, the Vikings put up a fight, but it wasn't enough to beat the Okemos Chieftains.

The Chieftains came away with the victory 116 to 70.

"Tonight's meet was a fun meet for Okemos Girl's Swim Team," stated, Coach Pat Saucedo. "Okemos is good friends with the Haslett Program ."

For the Chieftains, Freyja Garbaccio broke the 100 Yard Backstroke pool record with at time of 1:00.14 and there were a few personal bests among the Chieftain's dive crew.

And with 4 weeks out from the Conference Championships, the Chieftains are looking to step it up in practices to prepare for the big meet .
