UPDATE:
HASLETT - A park in Haslett is now flood-safe after Meridian Township officials step in to solve the problem.
Marshall Park has seen its fair share of floods in recent years. Residents near the park can now live worry-free because of the new pipe put underground by Meridian Public Works, Replacing the crushed pipe that was causing the damage.
Ray Severy, Director of Public Works and Engineering for Meridian Township describes how the pipe is part of a draining system created to stop such floods from happening.
The township suspects that next time there comes heavy rain, Marshall Park will be ready for it.
