• Flyer for Golf Fest 2011

UPDATE: MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - 2011 Golf Fest took place at Meridian Sun Golf Club on July 30.

For $5, golfers had a chance to be outside on a sunny day and enter raffles for prizes, but the main focus of the event was to raise funds for the community. Local corporate organizations sponsored some of the holes, with amounts ranging from $200 up to $1,000.

Lary Hill of the East Lansing Meridian Lions Club, who helped organize the event, was excited to simply be a part of a community that cares.

The funds collected will go toward helping people around the community with things like housing, food, clothing, and medicine.
