No Straight Ticket Voting This November

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Absentee voters received incorrect voting instructions along with their ballots from the election vendor used by Meridian Township.

The information sheet stated directions on how to vote using a straight-ticket option.

Township Clerk Brett Dreyfus wants to remind all voters there is no straight-ticket voting option for the November 6th election. But, this has not affected ballots in any way.

"Nobody's right to be vote has been changed in any way shape or form," Dreyfus said. "The reality of it is anybody can vote straight ticket. They simply have to go through each race and vote that way."

The vendor has been notified and new instructions have been printed and sent to the Township.
