UPDATE: MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Local organizations are looking for ways to help families enroll their children into health insurance programs.

With the economy down like the way it has been, families are having a harder time getting their kids covered.

Marcus Cheatham, the Assistant Deputy Health Officer at the Ingham County Health Department, and Phillip Bergquist, Manager of Health Center Operations for the Michigan Primary Care Association, both had things to say on the topic.

The MPCA started a couple of programs to get the ball rolling.
