Meridian Township Parks and Rec Receives Grant

Meridian Township Parks and Rec Receives Grant

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - In December, Meridian Township was granted $50,000 from the Federal Land and Water Conservation Fund to be used for a new restroom along the trail at the Harris Nature Center.

Along with the new restroom, they were recipients of the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund Grant for a new pavilion center.

Before construction can begin, it has to be released by the legislature and then agreed upon by the State of Michigan.

LuAnn Maisner, Meridian Township Parks and Recreation Director, sees the construction beginning in 2019.
