Okemos Remains on Top

OKEMOS - On January 30th, Okemos took on their crosstown rivals the Haslett Vikings at home. The Chieftains are currently coming off of a six game win streak, with a win this past Friday against Lansing Eastern.

Top scorers of the night included Evan Thomas with 22 points and Fabian Leone with 16 points for the Chieftains.

“We feel really good, I thought Haslett played a really good game, and they were shooting the ball really well. Everytime we made a mistake they scored. So you’ve gotta give our guys credit too. We missed a few free throws but they were resilient enough to win,” said Jeff Wonch, Okemos Boys Basketball Head Coach.

The Chiefs move to 10-3 on the season with games on the road this week against Grand Ledge.
