Disco Fish Arrive In Wonch Park

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - A new piece of art work has arrived at Wonch Park. The disco fish were previously located off of Okemos Road.

Once the fish were revamped, they swam their way home to Wonch Park.

Township Treasure Julie Brixie explains how the township acquired the fish.

"We obtained them when we decided to embark on a place making for Meridian Township," Brixie said.

Wonch Park is on the floodplain so, there is no doubt it will flood when it rains. Residents will have the opportunity to see the beauty within the flooding.

"It makes people feel like this is home. Like this is Meridian Township. Like this is Okemos," Brixie said.
