LANSING - The Lansing 5:01 Event creatively connected young professionals and fashion gurus at the Lansing Airport Tuesday, July 18.

The third Lansing 5:01 event for the summer invited the public to attend a runway show on an actual runway.

The models wore designs that represented social influences and issues.

The Lansing 5:01 is a nonprofit organization connecting young professionals and college students within the community and greater Lansing.

Their main mission is to tell Lansing's story and to welcome new talent and business.

The event ended the night off with a silent disco party in the airport hanger.

The next 5:01 event is specifically for interns on August 3rd in Old Town Lansing. The event will be at a banquet hall and interns are invited to speak about their experiences and internships in Lansing from the summer.
