OKEMOS - The Haslett and Okemos Rotary Club held there 11th annual "Hero" Luncheon this past Tuesday, 300 guest wined and dined with the Rotary Club at Gilbert and Blake's to help give back. Tickets for the event were $25 and tips were collected throughout the luncheon for the fundraiser.

The club donates the money raised to various projects and organizations "specifically it's going to go to our Rotary Foundation and the foundation will distributes scholarships for the Okemos and Haslett schools and internationally we will donate to specific projects in underdeveloped countries", says
Rotary Club member and Co-chair of the fundraiser Dan Wilkinson.

Wilkinson says the foundation specifically targets those who they see needs the most help.

Last year the club raised close to $10,000 and is hopeful they will raise even more money this year.
