Local Salon Brings Hope to Women Who
Have Lost Their Hair Due to Illness

HASLETT - Salon Owner Jessica Grienke says if any woman is going through any form of hair loss and is unhappy about it, they can come into A Wig & A Prayer.

A Wig & A Prayer is a business located in Okemos at 1711 W. Grand River Ave.

And is made specifically for women who have lost their hair.

For Grienke, it is an opportunity for her mission to come to life, a mission to help women feel beautiful.

"After being a hair dresser for 20 years, I realized how important hair is to women," she said.

"The thought of losing their hair is extremely scary for women."

And before she decided to help women who have lost their hair, Grienke made the courageous decision to shave off her own.

"I thought it would be really important for me to know what it is like to wear a wig," says Grienke.

This gave Grienke insight and a deeper understanding on how to serve her clients at A Wig & A Prayer.

"This is a place where they can feel safe and taken care of and where they can feel educated and have high quality choices," states Grienke.

And for client Katrina Holly , A Wig & A Prayer has given her options.

“I came in for a consultation with Jessica," says Holly. "She was able to show me the style of wigs ,and I was able to pick one out."

And the services at A Wig & A Prayer have made a lasting impression on her life.

"Just knowing how much she really cares about every individual I believe that walks through this door," says Holly.

For Jessica, she just wants her clients to feel special.

"I can give them they hair back which makes them feel like themselves," she said.

"It's been wonderful and the experience with Jessica has made such a world of difference," says Holly. " Definitely get a hold of Jessica at A Wig & A Prayer".
