Grounding Grand Ledge

OKEMOS - Okemos lacrosse is taking shape as a threat once again to make serious damage in the state playoffs. The Grand Ledge Comets tried to cool off the Chiefs on a chilly evening; nevertheless, the Okemos' fire could not be put out, out-scorching the Comets, 13-3, at their alternate home field Tuesday night.

"This group is finding its identity," Okemos head coach Shawn Grady said after yet another win. "It seems to be coming together a little better. We're happy with our play on the defensive half, they've done a real nice job. Both of our goalies do a great job. I think that we can score, we've always been like that, but it's nice to see what we are doing back there."

The Chiefs continue to cruise to possibly another league title as they are undefeated in the CAAC.
