MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Shots rang out on the 300 block of Piper Road during the very early hours of Labor Day, injuring a 47 year old woman who was inside her home.

Multiple shots were fired at the home from the outside, which resulted in non-life threatening injuries for the woman.

According to a press release from the Meridian Township Police Department, the shooting was not random and an arrest has been made.

When reached for additional comment, the Meridian Police Department said they will not speak on the case until the investigation is complete.
