Zoning Board of Appeals Passes Two
Items Unanimously

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - At the April 23rd Zoning Board of Appeals meeting, both items were passed unanimously by the board.

In unfinished business, Michael Stevens of Stevens associates builders requested four variances. He had to make changes to his original requests at the February 26th ZBA meeting. This included more parking spaces and the addition of trees.

"So the biggest challenge we had back then was really the parking and we had to work through that and they were able to come to us with a presentation today where they did not need a variance for the parking. They did need some variances to accommodate that, but that was important to us," said Brian Beauchine, the ZBA Chair.

In new business, the board voted to allow a home on 181 Cinnabar Circle in Williamston to build a new, taller roof on the property.

The next Zoning Board of Appeals meeting will be on May 14th.
