UPDATE: MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The Harris Nature Center installed solar electric panels eight months ago. The panels bring electricity into the building that gets used for every day electrical needs.

The Harris Nature Center saves energy in a variety of ways including air sealing and insulation in the attic, on the main floor and in the basement crawlspace.

The center went through extensive insulation and air leak sealing during 2011.
