Michigan State Ladies Take Down GVSU
With Ease

UPDATE: EAST LANSING, MI - Despite missing most of their starters, Michigan State found their rhythm in their second and final exhibition game against Grand Valley State University, routing them 83-36.
It started with Michigan State taking early control, hitting stride with a 13 - 0 run.
They were able to keep their offense potent and, with stingy defense, MSU kept the Laker Women turning the ball over repetitively and putting up difficult shots.
The story of the game was sophomore forward Jasmine Hines, who would lead green and white in points with 16 in the drubbing.
Following the game, head coach Suzie Merchant faced questions about her lineup. One could make the argument that she reacted only in truth, as she didn't overlook the issues the team will face while trying to replace multiple starters - most of them being guards.
Merchant will look to find ways to incorporate some of her smaller forwards at the guard position this season, just as she was doing against GVSU.
