Ingham County 2022 Community Agency Application Process Begins

Ingham County 2022 Community Agency Application Process Begins

INGHAM COUNTY - Every year, Ingham County provides financial support to community agencies that are non-profit organizations and service the community. To start the process, applicants need to fill out a Community Agency Application.

The applications are due by July 30, 2021 at 5:00 pm. The application asks agencies to identify how they meet basic needs, how much funds they are requesting, how they work with government and community and how the funds will meet the organization and county’s objectives.

Priority will be given to applicants who best meet the objective of Meeting Basic Needs like food, water and shelter for the community.

In 2021, Ingham County gave $212,450 to local organizations and agencies. Ingham County Deputy Controller Jared Cypher said that the Controller’s Office usually receives 30 to 35 applications per year and they recommend $200,000 for the program.

“I think it’s important for Ingham County because of the people that it serves,” Cypher said. “These are services that go to a population that needs them.”

Applicants are able to find the Community Agency Application on the Ingham County’s webpage and can be filled out online or they can request a physical copy through the office.
