Discussion Continues Over 2020 Township Budget

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - At the September 17th Meridian Township Board meeting, Board members revisited the 2020 Township Budget discussed at their last meeting on September 3rd.

Board members discussed different parts of the budget and Township Treasurer Phil Deschaine proposed to allocate a total of $10,000 dollars towards the Environmental Commission's efforts for helping the environment such as planting between 2,000 to 10,000 trees throughout the community.

This topic was also discussed between Treasurer Deschaine and Environmental Commission members at the last meeting on September 4th.

Supervisor Ronald J. Styka and Trustee Dan Opsommer commended everyone's efforts towards structuring and organizing the budget.

The Board then moved to unanimously adopt the 2020 Township Budget.
