MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The Meridian Township Zoning Board of Appeals approved several variances for Delta Dental of Michigan at their meeting on Wednesday night.

Delta Dental came to the Board at their May 22 meeting to request variances to expand a deck on the building to 4,300 square feet, and to construct 5 new signs on the property.

The applicant's representatives who were present at the meeting said the purpose of the deck was to provide a humanistic approach to their campus for employees, and the signs would make it easier for vehicles to navigate the campus.

The board unanimously approved both the signs and the deck's construction at the regional headquarters of Delta Dental of Michigan located on Okemos Road.
