Meridian Township Board Votes on Elevation at Okemos Pointe Brownfield Transfer

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Meridian Township Board met March 19 to continue discussing the Elevation at Okemos Pointe Brownfield transfer.

The Elevation mixed use project currently consists of 394 dwelling units located on 37 acres of land. As of Feb. 14, phase one of the project has been completed leading to the construction of eight buildings.

The property owner for the Elevation project approached the Meridian Township Brownfield Redevelopment Authority requesting to transfer the current Brownfield from Ingham County to Meridian Township.

On Feb. 8, the Ingham County Brownfield Redevelopment Authority passed a motion recommending the approval of the transfer.

Last night the Meridian Township Board discussed a resolution that would approve the transfer from Ingham County to Meridian Township.

The Township Board voted unanimously to pass the resolution.
